ANNE MARY HANSEN (nee SIDORENKO) February 25, 1950 February 2, 2008 Anne passed away peacefully from a short battle with cancer on a beautiful day in February. She is survived by her loving husband Richard (Dick), brother Nicholas and adoring daughter Laurissa (Eric), five stepsons and their wives, nine stepgrandchildren who loved their Grandma/Nanna, also by many family members in the Ukraine. She was predeceased by her parents Nikolaj and Antonia. Anne worked for Winnipeg and then Manitoba Hydro for 28 years. Anne loved to travel and took many trips with her husband. She traveled across Canada and the United States. Her favourite place was the Rocky Mountains. She also made frequent visits to Northern British Columbia to visit her daughter. While she was there she would go fishing and look for wildlife. Anne was a wonderful cook and loved to be in the kitchen. Anne was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, grandmother and a great sister. She will be sorely missed but she will be with her angels she loved. She will also be with her sweet dog Ashton. At this time the family wishes to thank some special friends, Judy and Roger Bamburak, for their unlimited love and support. The family would also like to thank Dr. Krepart and Dr. Lotocki from CancerCare Manitoba. The wonderful doctors and staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for their excellent and loving care for Anne (Mom). Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in memory of Anne Hansen.
